After thirty-five years as a chemist in the paint industry I cannot believe I have gotten so excited about a can of paint. We have just started selling Benjamin Moore’s new product called AURA.
Have you ever seen an old house that the owners just keep adding onto, instead of scraping the entire house to the ground and starting over? After enough additions with different building materials a house like this can look pretty unsightly.
Instead of building onto the old, original concept of latex paint, Benjamin Moore has essentially scraped down to nothing and has rebuilt paint the way is should be, using today’s most current technology. What this means to all of us is:
- VOC’s below the country’s most stringent criteria (A Very Green Product thanks to the waterbased colorants).
- Recoat in one hour (Get the job done faster)
- Any sheen and any color, anywhere in the house
- No more than two coats in ANY color (yes even bright reds)
- Mildew resistant—Tough
- Interior finishes are available in interior matt, eggshell, satin and semi-gloss
- Exter finishes are available in flat, low-luster, and semi-gloss
- Self priming on most surfaces
- Flow and leveling to give the nicest finish ever—beautiful touch up
- Colors don’t fade and the colorants are locked into the paint so the color does not wash off
Although the cost of a can is higher, AURA saves money and time by allowing you to have a better looking job while using less paint and you can get the job done quicker. We are anxious to show you how wonderful Benjamin Moore’s new AURA really is.
