Belcaro Paint & Decorating Center has won numerous accolades,
including coveted local "Reader's Choice" awards, and praise on
City, State and National levels. Our "Wet Paint" Color Samples have
been recognized by both the University of Colorado and by the EPA
for contributing to a cleaner environment!
On October 7, 2003, the State of Colorado Health Department presented Belcaro Paint & Decorating Center the Environmental Achievement Award for the Wet Paint Tester Program's contribution to lowering the amount of waste paint which entered the country's waste stream.

In October, 1995 the University of Colorado Health Science Center, Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine began a search in the Denver community for two deserving companies for a new Environmental Award. This award was to recognize the efforts of one small company and one large company that had made a significant contribution to protect and enhance the health of our environment in Colorado. The recipients of the 1996 Environmental Award was selected by a panel of judges from the Health Science Center with the Mayor of Denver as an advisor. The winners of these awards were announced and recognized at the annual University’s Winterfest Ball on February, 24, 1996. The winner of the award for a small business’ contribution was:

Early 1996, Belcaro Paint & Decorating Center, Inc. received a phone call from an Environmental Engineer who had heard about our "Wet Paint" Color Swatches. This person was involved with corresponding with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and believed the EPA would be interested in knowing more about our testers. After explaining the concept of our "Wet Paint" Color Swatches, the EPA honored us with a full page article in their issue Number 21, Region VIII Pollution Prevention Bulletin dated March 1996, showing how our paint testing system can make a significant contribution to the reduction of waste in our country.

In the June 28-July 4, 1995 issue of the Denver publication Westword, Belcaro Paint & Decorating Center was honored with "Best Place to Buy House Paint". The reasons given for this recognition were the "experts who don’t mind helping out an amateur", "...an abundance of paint and Wallpaper samples that will satisfy even the most picky decorators.", and the recognition and explanation of the "Wet Paint" Color Swatches.
